Abstract

Corruption is a long-standing phenomenon that occurs in all societies. This last decade, a decade marked by the global economic crisis and the accelerating globalization, corruption constitutes one of the most important challenges facing states and international organizations. The main aim of this essay is to present the institutional framework for combating corruption in five countries: Greece, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. The main objective is to identify best practices that could, under certain conditions, be adopted by the greek administration in order to improve the existing institutional framework.
