Abstract

This paper examines the role of the Registry of Cultural Entities of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, regarding the shaping of the subsidy system in order to support artistic creation. Through the utilization of primary and secondary sources, the landscape of the registered cultural entities, as well of the subsidies which are allocated to them, is mapped. Conclusions are drawn on the extent to which the Registry met the declared objectives of its creation and proposals are submitted for the further improvement of the Greek subsidy system.
