The topic addressed in this paper is "The phenomenon of harassment and abuse in Greece: Policy approaches and social actions". The need to highlight this phenomenon emerged from the sharp increase in the number of reports of domestic violence, sexual harassment and abuse of power and the subsequent emergence and recognition of social movements such as Metoo. The subjects of this study, in particular, are the phenomena of spousal violence, as a form of domestic violence, as well as sexual harassment in the workplace. Common characteristics of the above are their gender dimension, their timeless and timely character, and their characterization as phenomena of power abuse. In particular, it attempts to link abusive behaviour to social factors such as prejudices and stereotypes about gender role and prevailing perceptions of the position of women. As a result of the above there is the manifestation of gender discrimination, gender-based violence and, in particular, violence against women.

The forms of abusive behaviour, the causes of the problem and its impact on victims and society as a whole are studied.
Under these circumstances, the study delves into the legislative framework of abusive behaviour, as well as the analysis of the existing structures and actions of the State and of civil society.
