Επιτομή
The extroversion of Greek businesses and the Greek economy in general is a long-term objective to ensure the economic prosperity of the country, as well as its economic recovery in times of crisis. The increase of Greek exports and the penetration of Greek enterprises in foreign markets are key pillars of both national strategy and economic diplomacy. First, the theoretical background of economic and health crises is briefly presented, including a brief overview of recent crises. Furthermore, the theories of international trade and their evolution over time are analyzed, as well as the term "extroversion" and the ways in which a firm can internationalize. The above theoretical framework helps in understanding the Greek economy and Greek entrepreneurship.
Therefore, an overview of the Greek economy follows, with emphasis on the recent periods of economic and health crisis. In addition, the extroversion of Greek firms and the performance of Greek exports and direct investment are analyzed. The last part presents the Bulgarian market as a case study. In this context, the economic relations between Greece and Bulgaria are extensively presented, as well as the existing incentives for the further penetration of Greek enterprises in the Bulgarian market.
