In a world characterized by spectacular advances in all areas the development of human recourse’s competences and skills is a necessity for social and professional integration. The acquisition and use of knowledge and skills such as adaptability, flexibility, communication, collaboration, new technologies, etc. are elements that help to redress the consequences of the new globalized socio-economic environment and facilitate labor mobility. Lifelong education and training, counseling and career guidance, mobility with safety are some of the proposals of the European Union on the success of the adaptability of working people to new needs and labor market challenges, controlling unemployment and social cohesion. In our country, in particular as the public sector regards, the formed economic situation has imposed a series of very important changes to the personal and professional life of employees. Within this context, this study highlights the need for the introduction of Lifelong Career Guidance and Counseling in public administration, investigates its contribution to informing employees about changes in international and domestic labor market, the demand for skills and qualifications from public sector and private organizations, the mobility, at national level, of employees with flexibility and security and stresses the importance of psycho-emotional support for people when they need to receive accurate decisions about their education and career.
