In the contemporary globalised and competitive environment with its constantly changing economic and social developments, organizations are struggling to survive. In this effort, human resources management plays a crucial role as it should adjust to the new conditions. This adjustment will be even more successful if it comprises as its main targets and priorities not only terms like effectiveness and efficiency but also a deep respect towards cultural diversity. Different cultures can be spotted in the framework of organizations (public and private) as in every aspect of our society. The challenge for a modern HR management is to mingle cultural diversities (such as values, beliefs and behavior patterns) with the elements of economy, efficiency and effectiveness. Through this diversities stop being an obstacle and transform to a competitive advantage for the organization.
Nowadays after a long controversy and neglect, the values and meanings associated with human behavior are once more respected. As a result, this trend leads to a new understanding of human sciences that come once again in the forefront of education. Maybe the most visible footprint of this new reality is the reintroduction of Aristotle’s school of thought in the most renowned business schools in the world. The new reality which is involving has in its core not only the financial aspect of life but human as a whole.
