Strategic Management is a process directly related to the environment in which organizations operate and is constantly evolving, through the challenges and opportunities presented. Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic has acted as a catalyst for the way strategies are designed, implemented and evaluated, leading the debate to the resilience of strategic planning. The aim is now to apply the appropriate tools to achieve strategic goals, in an increasingly volatile and uncertain environment. The present thesis aims to present the context in which strategic planning evolves, starting with a theoretical overview of Strategic Management and a presentation of the current trends that enrich its operation. Then there is an analysis of some effects of the pandemic but also the characteristics that lead to strategic resilience. Based on these characteristics, the comparative reaction of the countries internationally and of Greece is examined more specifically, reaching certain conclusions on the optimal model of strategic management of the crisis, while presenting the next day of strategic planning. The literature review method is followed, with the parallel extraction of primary and secondary data from international organizations.
